Startup Defense: Push to Prod and startupdefense.app are operated by RINGI, K.K. (“we,” “us”). Contact us about privacy or support at support@startupdefense.app.
Game data on your device
The game stores settings, campaign progress, saved runs and gameplay records locally so you can play and continue your progress. It does not automatically upload these records to us.
Local data remains on your device until removed by you or by the app’s normal save-management behavior. Deleting the app removes its local app data, but device backups and separately exported files may remain. Manage these through your device, backup service or the app where you saved them. We cannot access or restore a save that exists only on your device.
Optional game analytics
In versions offering Share play statistics, we use PostHog Cloud EU only if you choose to share. This helps us understand how the game is used and improve it. We receive selected screen visits and button actions, run entries and outcomes, hiring interactions, and upgrade offers and choices, together with the game version, platform and operating-system major version, and a randomly generated installation reference.
The reference connects this installation's play sessions. It is not your name or a game account. PostHog keeps a profile for it containing the current and first observed operating-system name and major version, plus a technical reference to the event that created the profile. We do not send your name, email, advertising identifier, saved games, diagnostic report contents or screen recordings through analytics. We do not use it for advertising or combine it with your activity in our other products.
You can turn sharing off in Settings → Play analytics. This stops future capture and transmission and clears pending analytics uploads. A request already in transit cannot be recalled. Previously received events are not automatically deleted. To request deletion, use Request analytics deletion in Settings and send the prepared message from your mail app to support@startupdefense.app. This also stops sharing and detaches the old analytics identity before any future opt-in. Your game progress is unaffected.
Keep the analytics reference when making a request. Reinstalling the app or clearing app data can remove it; an email address alone may not let us locate a previous installation's analytics.
We use PostHog's EU cloud and its direct EU ingestion endpoint. Providers process network information as needed to deliver and protect requests. We configure analytics to discard stored client IP addresses and disable location enrichment. See PostHog's privacy notice for its processing and service providers, including international safeguards.
Our current PostHog account retains received analytics events for up to 7 years, unless deleted earlier through an applicable request. A deletion request may take time to finish processing. Unsent records on the device are limited to 1,000 events; they remain until delivered, evicted from that bound, or removed when sharing is disabled or app data is deleted. We rely on your consent for this optional analytics.
Optional diagnostic reports
Settings → Help & diagnostics lets you create a report containing app and runtime versions, settings, and technical information about the game and its saved state. You can choose to attach a gameplay replay; this is off by default.
Creating a report saves a file on your device. It does not send the file to us. Sharing happens only when you choose Share report and select a destination in the system share sheet.
The report does not contain your contact information, device identifiers, raw logs or screenshots. A gameplay replay contains game commands and game-state information, not a video recording. Your chosen sharing service may separately include your name, email address or other account information.
You can request help without attaching a diagnostic report.
Information you send to support
When you email us, we receive your email address, any sender name, your message and the attachments you choose to provide. We use this information to reply, investigate problems, provide support, protect our services and meet applicable legal obligations. A report received by email may remain associated with that email and its sender.
Support email is routed through Cloudflare Email Routing to our Gmail inbox, provided by Google. These providers process messages for delivery, storage and security. Please avoid sending passwords, payment details or unrelated personal information.
We do not sell your personal information, use support messages for targeted advertising, or add you to a marketing mailing list. Access to support information is limited to people who need it for the purposes described here. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights or service security.
This website and our service providers
This site has no custom analytics, advertising trackers, newsletter signup or contact form. We do not add marketing cookies or use browser storage to track visitors.
The site is hosted through OpenAI Sites, with domain, delivery and security services provided by Cloudflare. Delivering and protecting a website requires technical request information, which can include an IP address, browser information, requested URL and request time. Hosting providers may maintain technical logs and necessary security features, including security cookies, under their own policies.
Our hosting and email providers may process information outside your country. Their privacy notices describe their processing and international safeguards: OpenAI, Cloudflare and Google.
If you follow a link to the App Store or another service, that service handles your information under its own privacy policy. Apple may separately process App Store, device or TestFlight information according to your Apple settings and its policies.
How long we keep information
We keep support correspondence and attachments only while needed to answer your request, investigate a related issue, protect service security, or meet a legal obligation. We consider whether the request is resolved, whether the information is still needed to reproduce a problem, and whether a specific legal requirement applies.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove identifying details. We retain only the information necessary if a longer period is required for an unresolved issue or legal obligation. Email-provider backups and technical logs follow the provider’s retention and deletion processes; removal from backup systems may take additional time.
You can request deletion of information you sent us at any time using the contact address below. We will explain if a legal obligation prevents us from deleting particular information.
Your choices and rights
You do not need to send us personal information to play. You can decline analytics, withdraw analytics consent in Settings, decline to share a diagnostic report, and delete local or exported files yourself.
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information, restrict or object to its use, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before it. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
To make a request, email support@startupdefense.app. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify that the request concerns your information, and will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Where a legal basis is required, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to requests, maintaining and securing our services, and resolving technical problems, together with applicable legal obligations. We do not use your information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.
Children’s privacy
The game and website are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent us personal information can contact us to request its deletion. The game’s App Store age rating may be higher in some regions.
Security and changes
We limit the information we request and use appropriate safeguards for the information we handle. No method of internet transmission or storage is completely secure.
We will update this policy when our practices change and show the new effective date here. We will provide additional notice or request consent when required by applicable law.
